Howdy folks,

We have added a brand new feature to Bike Shawnee, it is called ‘Bike Map’ and you can see the Bike Map on our Homepage and Where To Ride page.

The map is powered by a website called MapHub.com which Hiking with Shawn holds a premium account on. 

At this time, the map is basic with location of where to go and park for various bike paths and mountain bike trails in and around the Shawnee National Forest and southern Illinois. In the future, more features will be added to the map including putting in tracts and more details information. If you can suggestions to add to the map, don’t hesitate to contact us with them!

I do want to note that I saw a feature request to add MTB trails around Cedar and Kinkaid. Those are great trails that I have enjoyed riding but they’re not designated with is why I didn’t add them. However, I may add an “unofficial trail” section for stuff like that. I’ll have to consider that one more. We have to be careful when listing areas that are not exactly for a cycling activity.
